Ingredients

  • 3 cups rice

How to make Turkish Pilav Rice

  1. Rinse the rice with cold water. Store the rice in a bowl and then rinse it with hot salted water. Leave to cool. Wash again until clean with cold water until clear then drain.
  2. Boil peas or saute in butter until tender. Lift, then silence.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan until it sizzles. Before it turns brown, add the rice and sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour stock or water into a saucepan, bring to a boil over low heat. Remember not to stir the pilav while it is cooking. Then cook until the rice has absorbed all the water, about 10-15 minutes. Add the salt and paper sufficiently.
  5. When you turn off the heat, add the peas, stir quickly. Can also be mixed with various vegetables, meat, chicken or seafood.
  6. Remove the pan and open the lid. Place a clean towel over the pan, then close the lid. Let pilav rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
