How to Make a Neapolitan-style Pasta and Peas Recipe:
- This Neapolitan-style pasta and peas recipe involves simple steps. Peel the onion and finely chop it, let it soften in a large saucepan with 3 tablespoons of oil. When it becomes transparent, add the diced and browned bacon.
- Add the peas and let the spices infuse for a few minutes. Add as much hot water as you need to cover it by about 3-4 cm. Add mint (optional) and cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes from boiling. Salt, pepper and add pasta of choice. Continue cooking for the required amount of time, adding a little hotter water as needed to thin it out: remember that you don't have to get thick but moist results.
- Turn off the heat, let sit for a few minutes, then divide the pasta and Neapolitan-style peas into individual plates and serve.
