German Food | Bretzel is a typical German food that is ribbon-shaped and brown. On the surface, there is a sprinkling of coarse salt, sesame seeds, or sunflower seeds. Bretzel is not only popular in Germany, but also in various countries of the world.
Ingredients
- 500 grams of Flour
- 4 tsp instant yeast
- 200 ml of warm water
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 4 tbsp Butter
Stew
- 1 L Water
- 2 tsp Baking soda
Spread
- 4 egg yolks
Toppings
- Grated parmesan cheese - to taste
- Parsley powder/dry - to taste
How to Make Pretzel Snacks
- In a bowl, mix warm water with instant yeast. Stir until foamy.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt. Pour in the yeast solution and knead until smooth.
- Add butter and knead until smooth. Leave it for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough and weigh each into 50 grams.
- Take one dough. Form into a long rope and position it like a U. Hold each end at the top and then make a knot, pull it down, press, and glue. Repeat until the materials used are used up.
- In a saucepan, heat all the ingredients for the stew to a boil.
- Boil the dough in boiling water for only 30 seconds. Lift and drain.
- Prepare the pan. Arrange the pretzels on top.
- Brush the surface with egg yolk. Top with grated parmesan cheese and parsley powder.
- Bake at 170°C for 15-20 minutes until cooked and browned. Lift.
- Ready to be served.
