German Food | Bretzel is a typical German food that is ribbon-shaped and brown. On the surface, there is a sprinkling of coarse salt, sesame seeds, or sunflower seeds. Bretzel is not only popular in Germany, but also in various countries of the world. 

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of Flour
  • 4 tsp instant yeast
  • 200 ml of warm water
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Butter

Stew

  • 1 L Water
  • 2 tsp Baking soda

Spread

  • 4 egg yolks

Toppings

  • Grated parmesan cheese - to taste
  • Parsley powder/dry - to taste



How to Make Pretzel Snacks 

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water with instant yeast. Stir until foamy.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt. Pour in the yeast solution and knead until smooth.
  3. Add butter and knead until smooth. Leave it for 30 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough and weigh each into 50 grams.
  5. Take one dough. Form into a long rope and position it like a U. Hold each end at the top and then make a knot, pull it down, press, and glue. Repeat until the materials used are used up.
  6. In a saucepan, heat all the ingredients for the stew to a boil.
  7. Boil the dough in boiling water for only 30 seconds. Lift and drain.
  8. Prepare the pan. Arrange the pretzels on top.
  9. Brush the surface with egg yolk. Top with grated parmesan cheese and parsley powder.
  10. Bake at 170°C for 15-20 minutes until cooked and browned. Lift.
  11. Ready to be served.
