Here is a recipe for yakitori, chicken satay with a unique Japanese taste.

Ingredients( 10 skewers):

  • 500 gr chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of sake/cooking wine
  • 4 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 leeks, cut into 5 cm
  • enough skewers
  • enough vegetable oil






Method of Making Yakitori:

  1. Mix soy sauce, sugar, sake, and mirin. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Boil until boiling and slightly thick, then remove from the stove.
  2. Skewer the chicken and leek with skewers alternately.
  3. Grease the yakitori with the spices that have been boiled earlier, then grill the yakitori with fire again until cooked. Can also be roasted while smeared with spices.
  4. Prepare the yakitori with the spices placed in a separate container.
